Privacy policy

The short version: you don't need an account, your measurements and estimates are computed on your own device, and we don't sell personal information. The details are below.

In short

  • There is no sign-up, login or user account on this site.
  • The planner and every calculator run in your browser. The dimensions you type, the materials you pick, the prices you enter and the shopping lists you print are not sent to our server.
  • The tools don't set cookies. They keep your latest project in your browser's local storage so it is there next time on the same device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
  • Share links hold your project after the # sign in the address. Browsers don't send that part to the server, but anyone you give the link to can see the project, including any prices you entered.
  • If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix whatever you reported, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
  • We don't sell or rent personal information.

Who the site is for

This site is written for adults planning and buying materials for yard and hardscape projects: homeowners, landscapers and contractors. Nothing on it asks for a name, an address, an age or any other personal detail; the only things the tools need are measurements. Supplier prices you type in stay on your device and in any share link you choose to create.

What happens to what you type into the tools

  • The calculations run in your browser. Your inputs are not sent to our server.
  • Saved projects are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
  • Share links store your inputs in the part of the address after the #. Browsers don't send that part to the server, but anyone you give the link to can see the inputs.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Material changes are also noted in the changelog.
